Thank you Lisa from Families Helping Families for telling us all about your program last week.  If you are interested in volunteering or donating gently used kids clothing, please visit their website for information:
Thursday this week we will hear from Cot Graber on The Global Warming Controversy.  This week will be our last regular meeting of the year.  On Sunday you are invited to join us at Cornell's performance of As You Like It at 2:30 pm.  Purchase your own tickets.
Our next meeting will be January 3rd, please keep an eye out for the location.  It will not be at Cornell, the campus will be closed.  We will post the location before the meeting.
The Rotary Club of Mt Vernon-Lisbon has partnered with another local Mt Vernon organization called One Mission Fundraising.  One Mission offers a platform for organization and individuals to raise funds for their church, school, medical cause, or community project among other things.  You can buy great products and know that 40% of the dollars you spend go to the cause or you can simply chose to donate directly on the site.  Check out the site at: One Mission Fundraising for Mt Vernon-Lisbon Rotary
Bonus: If you live near Mt Vernon/Lisbon and would prefer to pick up your items and save on the shipping charges, use promo code MVFRIEND to remove the shipping charges from your order.
Welcome back from a long vacation!!  We are looking forward to having Lisa Buckman tomorrow talking about Families Helping Families.
According to the survey, we will be going to the Cornell College show on December 16th at 2:30 pm.  I didn't get a lot of responses to the survey so if you have strong objections, please let me know.  This was the best I could due with the responses that were submitted.
See you tomorrow!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!!  We DO NOT have a meeting this week as it is our last Thursday of the month and the 5th Thursday of the month.  That means we are going to do something Special!!  We have decided as a group to go to see Cornell's: As You Like It.  Please fill out the survey regarding which date works best for you and I will do my best to find a date that works ok for everyone.  Survey HERE!  Please fill this out by Friday, November 30th.
Next week we are back to normal meetings for December 6th and the calendar after that for changes.
It's giving Tuesday!  Consider giving to your favorite charity and if Rotary International sounds like a good place to share your holiday cheer...Donate here!  If you would like to help out our club with projects like Youth Exchange, RYLA, or one of the many other projects we support....Donate here!
